Dear Family Members of Flexpointe Studios Inc.

Firstly, I want to say a heartfelt thank you for your support over the past days since announcing our decision to suspend all our in-person classes following the Alberta Health advisory. I am in my 19th year of teaching this year and this is definitely a first for me; I’ve never had to deal with a situation quite like this before. However, we have a responsibility to do our part in minimizing the impact of the Coronavirus throughout our community and the safety of our Flexpointe dance family is a number one priority.

While this will most definitely impact our classes inside the studio and potentially the remaining activities planned for this dance year, we are committed to continuing to offer our classes and keep our community connected through a virtual dance experience.

Now more than ever it’s important for your child to have normalcy and routine. The last thing we want is for our children to play video games and watch television shows and movies all day. We need them to be active, move, use their mind, be creative, and still interact with their peers! Thanks to technology we will be able to provide you with an online dance experience for your dancer to keep them moving, learning, interacting with their Flexpointe friends and hopefully having fun during this time.

Here are the details you need to know about our online dance experience:
  • We ask that currently registered families please check their inboxes for an email from Miss Melissa outlining the details to access our Virtual Class site.
Other ways to stay connected:
  • Currently enrolled families are asked to please join our Flexpointe Families Facebook group to see regular live video announcements from Miss Melissa and to connect with other parents in our dance community.
  • Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Once again I would like to thank you for your support during this time. As a small business owner your continued dedication to our mission to provide your child with invaluable life skills through dance and the performing arts, ensures we can continue doing the work we do. I will be touching base with you each week with more news. Our Recital dates are still booked and fingers crossed we can still proceed with this event. A further update will sent to our Competition team dancers in the next day or so.

We plan on taking on this challenge week by week, making/adjusting our plans as the situation progresses, so that we may resume in-studio instruction as soon as it is safe for our community to do so.

Trusting that you all stay well, safe and happy, see you inside our online studio!

Expect to hear from us soon!

Virtual high fives and much love,

~Miss Melissa
