Intensives are designed to help students get ready for the Fall dance season. Instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern/contemporary, acro and dance composition (student choreography). Prior experience in every discipline is not required.
*Suitable for dancers with a minimum of 4 years of dance experience and/or those who are enrolled at the Pre-Intermediate level or higher for Fall 2018. *Dancers will be divided into 2 groups (Pre-Intermediate & Intermediate/Advanced) based on age and level of experience.

Georgina Moore is a performer, teacher and choreographer trained in all styles of dance. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, her professional training began at the School of Alberta Ballet’s Professional Division Program. Her training continued at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy’s conservatory program (NYC Campus) where she broadened her dancing, acting and vocal training and techniques. At age 19, Georgina was cast in the Broadway National Tour of 42ND STREET the musical where she spent two years traveling the U.S and performed in over 120 different cities across North America. Other performance credits include: CRAZY FOR YOU (Sheila) at Signature Theatre (D.C.) with Broadway’s Tony Award nominated choreographer Denis Jones and MY FAIR LADY at New Bedford Festival Theatre. Additionally, Georgina can be seen teaching and choreographing for a variety of programs in Canada and the U.S. including AMDA NYC. She continues to be inspired by her ongoing projects in both teaching and performance. (@georginaemoore)

Marta Diduch – Physiotherapist (MSc. PT, BSc. Kin, BMDN, MCPA)
Marta obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree with Distinction, as well as a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Alberta. She obtained post graduate training in Manual Therapy, IMS, Vestibular, Motor Vehicle Accident injuries, and Dance Medicine. She has many years of experience as an athlete, professional ballet dancer and dance instructor of various dance styles, which led her to develop a special interest in dance and sports medicine. Marta is from Recovery Pointe Physiotherapy in Edmonton.
Classes Miss Marta will be teaching:
Pre-Intermediate: Preparing for Pointe work. Ever wonder what it takes to go “en Pointe”? In this session Miss Marta is going to go through the anatomy of the foot and ankle and discuss with dancers what is needed to start pointe work safely. She’ll take us through strengthening and alignment exercises and go through what is looked at in determining readiness for pointe.
INT/Adv: Strengthening the foot & ankle for improving Pointe work. Miss Marta is going to take us through the anatomy of the foot and ankle and show us different strengthening and alignment exercises we can do to help us improve our center balance and prepare for more difficult center pointe work. *dancers do not need to be en pointe to attend this session.
