Miss. Lauren began dancing at the age of five at The Dance Factory in Calgary, where she trained in tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre. She has trained up to the Advanced levels in both ADAPT tap and jazz, as well as completing the Grade 8 RAD ballet exam. From 2005-2011 Miss. Lauren was a class assistant at The Dance Factory which inspired her to pursue dance teaching.
Miss. Lauren moved to Edmonton in 2011 to attend the University of Alberta, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in English. She began teaching at Flexpointe in 2013. She recently finished her Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education and is a teacher at Londonderry School. For the past six years, Miss. Lauren has been a part of MOD Contemporary Dance Movement, a student run advanced contemporary dance company at the university. Within MOD, Miss. Lauren has acted as both the Vice President and President of the group, and has choreographed a number of memorable musical theatre production numbers with the company. Miss Lauren has completed her ADAPT Dance Teachers certification in Tap and Jazz dance. She has also completed her Junior level certification with Acrobatique AcroDance, and is in the process of completing her Intermediate level certification.
